The Highland Fold is an Australia-based miniature Highland cattle brand established in 2022. We breed rare, gentle, halter-started micro and miniature Highlands for people who want something genuinely special in their paddock — and for breeders building programs on honest, verifiable genetics.
We are a boutique breeder, not a volume operation. Keeping the fold small lets us handle every calf daily, halter-start them, and get to know their temperament before they ever meet a new owner. It also lets us be honest about what each animal is: we chondro-test and share results, document health and lineage, and never dress a standard calf up as a "mini".
Three things. First, rarity done right — we breed selectively toward silver, white and brindle, among the rarest colours in the country, without cutting corners on conformation or health. Second, honesty — chondro results, registration papers and health records travel with the animal. Third, aftercare — PIC and NLIS guidance, transport coordination, and support once your calf is home.
We reserve nationwide across Australia and coordinate transport by distance, and we welcome export enquiries to the United States and New Zealand. Farm visits are welcome by appointment — meeting the fold in person is the best way to choose.
